Getting to Know Chelsea Duffy
In 2016, Chelsea started a traditional food blog. While she enjoyed it, she wanted to be able to talk more about the nutrition behind the flood. So, she joined an NTA program and became a functional nutritional therapy practitioner. After graduating in 2018, she started to try a little bit of everything. However, she got overwhelmed and started to abandon her business.
This cycle happened every summer when her kids were off school, too. While she would continue to help existing clients, she stopped trying to obtain new clients. This then led to feeling like she had the imposter syndrome. She knew she earned her title through schooling but started questioning how much she knew. Between feeling like this and not being consistent in pushing her business, she felt lost.
Beginning a Change
Chelsea knew she had a passion for nutrition. So, she went back to school for homeopathy. She graduated in 2022 and was determined to make her business successful. However, she wasn’t sure how to proceed and started trying many things.
A good friend told her about The Profitable Nutritionist® Podcast, and she wanted to join the program. Her husband disagreed, though. He felt she spent enough money already and wasn’t bringing in any income from all her classes.
Luckily, Chelsea found The Profitable Nutritionist Podcast® about unsupportive spouses. This helped her see the situation from her husband’s eyes and how to approach the subject from a new angle. She compiled all her evidence and sold her husband on joining The Profitable Nutritionist® Program. She completed all the free training and listened to every podcast.
After signing up, her mindset transformed. She reframed her business and made back her money in literally one week. Then, she made $1500 in another day. At this point, her husband became a true believer.
Creating a Time Structure
Everyone has such busy lives. So, setting aside time to build her business was one of Chelsea’s largest obstacles. She wanted to be present for her kids and felt like she wasn’t completing her tasks.
Chelsea changed all of this by shifting her mindset. She realized she needed to focus on how much she did get done. She started by focusing on one task and fully completing it. Doing this often shocked her by seeing how much she completed while her kids were at school.
Essentially, Chelsea stopped abandoning her business because she didn’t have time. She created a time structure that worked with her kids’ schedules.
Building her Brand
Once Chelsea developed her schedule, she was ready to grow her business. However, she was ready to do this with no particular niche.
Her perfect clients are anyone willing to make changes. She is ready to guide and support anyone who needs help, whether this involves nutrition, food allergies, or anything else.
She even tweaked her process by working with friends and family. This allowed her to gain valuable insight into what works and doesn’t work.
Right now, Chelsea has wonderful clients who are so self-reliant. They’ve eliminated foods and take the guidance she provides. They are even happy to pay her premium prices. Simply put, they are glad to be with her.
Onboarding
A huge part of Chelsea’s business involves learning about her clients. With homeopathy, there is an intensive onboarding process to ensure this happens. Clients go through a whole health history timeline for their entire life. This takes some time to go through, but it provides crucial information.
Additionally, the initial consultation is pretty long—about an hour and a half—but it allows Chelsea to break down all this information. It also allows her to build their protocol, lifestyle changes, and home remedies.
After this, Chelsea is available for questions through Zoom or email. The client really needs to be on the remedies for about four weeks before they shift anything. So, a natural timeline is then meeting four to six weeks later. Essentially, there are six significant visits in the six-month package with unlimited email support.
Staying Off Social Media
A huge part of a successful business involves clients. Chelsea prefers emails over any social media outlet. She emails every Tuesday. These are about taking care of yourself at home, such as what to do for motion sickness or food poisoning.
While Chelsea has experienced many ups and downs, she has fine-tuned her process. She figured out her calendar, prioritized her family, and avoided social media. Thankfully, her business mindset has allowed her to bring in significant income.
