Have you ever dreamt of leaving a profession you do not love to follow your passions? While many people think of this, few can do it. This is often due to bills, money worries, and the fear of the unknown. Honestly, I understand these fears.
However, I am here to share how Mandy Rother built an ultra-successful nutrition practice during an intense part of her adult life.
So, let’s jump into building a successful practice from the ground up. You will learn so many tips and tricks to take control of your life and dreams.
Who is Mandy Rother?
Mandy Rother worked tirelessly in the corporate world until her entire department was laid off. After this happened, she was unsure what to do or where to go in her career.
However, she knew she wanted to help others and follow her passion for nutrition. So, Mandy took the jump and started her own nutrition practice business. While doing this, she was also expecting twins.
Thankfully, Mandy is ready to tell us how to manage the highs and lows of a busy business owner while being present with family. She will even share how she made more money in her nutrition practice than in the corporate world. This even includes taking a 4-month maternity leave and feeling sick throughout her pregnancy.
Freedom Factory
When building a successful practice from the ground up, Mandy discovered freedom. Creating a successful business with a six-figure salary happened while building an entire business. Now, I’m sure you’re wondering how she did that. Joining the Mastermind made a huge impact. Mandy learned how to delegate, revamp work hours, and set boundaries.
Work-Life Balance
After having twins, Mandy knew her crazy work hours could no longer continue. However, this was a complete shift in mindset. So, she had to learn that whitespace does not equal success. Before this, she felt like a fully booked schedule and waitlist meant success. However, this would be completely draining.
To avoid this, it is essential to offer versatility. For example, Mandy delivered a hybrid session without one-on-one sessions but with extra access to modules and group coaching. Essentially, this created more space on the calendar for creative downloads while building a solid customer base.
Additionally, she has days for clients and days without clients. This helps stay dedicated to customers while allowing time to develop the business. Best of all, this flexibility eliminates the hustle and grind culture where we live at our computers.
Gaining Clients
Finding clients is critical when building a successful practice from the ground up. Mandy did not do a ton on social media. Instead, she became a guest on different podcasts to connect to a community.
Additionally, she attended summits and conferences to meet like-minded individuals. Instead of sitting in a corporate office, she is helping people transform their lives.
As she explains, “With each success story that I had, I felt more and more, not just confident and how I was helping, but that this is really my purpose.” While a thriving business needs clients, Mandy ensures she puts her full heart, effort, and passion into helping each person.
Communication
Due to technology today, there are so many ways to communicate with others. Mandy found her success in emails and websites. She explains that she wants people to feel understood, validated, and seen. This helps people know she is there to help and is genuinely listening to their problems. Writing emails and creating a website allows her to help clients grow a business and create a welcoming space for all.
Future Plans
There will be progress and changes when building a successful practice from the ground up. One of Mandy’s is looking for her next unicorn. Her practice is ready to help more people struggling with mood and menstrual disorders. So, reach out to Mandy if you might be her next unicorn.
